 Touch Therapy for Autism- For children with Autism, new research has shown that massage may provide stress reduction, relaxation and calm muscle spasms. Research has also demonstrated that this incredible touch therapy helps reduce inattentiveness and withdrawal while aiding in body awareness. Parents that have incorporated this therapy into a daily routine have seen children with autism experience a decrease in sleep issues and many more benefits. In our Touch Therapy program we focus on assisting people on the Autism Spectrum and their families manage the effects of their symptoms by providing a highly specialized form of bodywork. We provide therapy to all ages and all levels of severity. During the session, we highly encourage parents or caregiver to learn some of the techniques used to establish nurturing and trustworthy touch at home.  

 

 

Couples Massage Class –  We offer two classes. The first one is couples class 1 which covers the neck, back, and feet. Couples class 2 covers hands, arms and legs. During these classes, you will learn to customize the basic techniques of professional massage to better ease tension in you partners body. You will also learn how to use your body weight rather than upper-body strength and discover ways to communicate with your partner through touch. Classes use professional-grade massage tables, lotions/oils, and linen. Space is limited and classes fill up fast. $80 per couple.
